An erih+ for the future

In 2024 we are renewing erih+ with both new logo and a new web page. It is not a day to early!

The rebranding is a part of a larger effort to ensure an index which is capable at meeting the current and future needs of the sector. The new user interface represents a start of an extensive work to move the whole erih+ plattform over to a new and more effective and intuitive service for the user.

New Criterias for journals

In addition to the web page we have done a proper update of the erih+ criteria. The new criteria are formed to ensure transparency and best practices of the journals. We have made sure to have them evaluated and reviewed thoroughly by our National Experts and our Advisory group. We therefore believe that the criteria will be relevant for a wide range of european journals.

The Criteria are built on the Principles of Transparency and best Practice for sccholarly publications. These criteria are identified by a variety of organisatisations in a joint effort.

New Roadmap

To be an important infrastructure for the future, erih+ is building a roadmap which will make sure that we are prioritising according to needs in the sector. To build erih+ 2.0 in to a relevant service our networks are important players and advisers, guiding us in to the right direction.

The new erih+ is not only focusing on a new technology and platform but we have also uptgraded our mission to be in line with the new digital age.

erhi+ is still a journal index for the social sciences and the humanities, with a focus on quality european journals, being the small community driven journals or the larger and more influental ones. We are, however, paying extra attention to the smaller community driven journals aiding these journals to increase their visibility and reach, as we believe that they contribute to the diversity of the publishing landscape as a whole and to the progress of research.

As a plattform we are also giving an extra attention to the needs in the sector. Multilingualism, supporting open science and facilitating high quality contextual information about the journals are efforts we have a high focus on.

Last we believe that the erih+ article search will play a more vital role as a part of erih+ in the future. A point in our roadmap is to improve the service and make it more robust and relevant.

We hope you will enjoy the new erih+ 2.0.
